Our mission is to encourage children to use the potty through a catchy song customized with their name.

What The Potty Song Does…

The Potty Song motivates toddlers to use the potty by generating excitement through a personalized potty training song. The Potty Song also promotes bonding through common celebration. Why not put some fun into potty training?

Why The Potty Song Works…

The goal of potty training is simple…to train our toddlers to use the potty and abandon their diapers. The problem is how to motivate them. For toddlers, excitement seems to be the key to motivation. If you find what excites your toddler, you’ve found what motivates them. If your child is excited about a new toy, he will be motivated to play. Giving her a brightly colored package motivates her to open it. But how do you generate excitement and motivation to use the potty? The Potty Song works because it creates excitement through a personalized song that speaks directly to the potty training child. Consider the following points …

  • The Potty Song generates excitement through a personalized, upbeat and easy to remember song that speaks directly to the potty training child.
  • Toddlers at the potty training age know their name and get excited about a song made just for them.
  • The Potty Song is so catchy that it’s hard for a toddler to get it out of his head. This reminds him that he wants to hear it again which in turn reminds him that he needs to use the potty in order to make that happen.
  • The length of the song is just right for the attention span of toddlers. Toddlers get so excited to hear the song, but it’s short enough to leave them wanting more. The desire to hear it again and again generates motivation to use the potty again and again.
  • Singing the song together can be a fun bonding experience for parent and child. This adds to the excitement and increases motivation to repeat the process.
  • Unlike candy or prizes (other popular motivational tools), you always have The Potty Song with you (even if you have to sing it without the CD). Also, candy and prizes create an added cost and create a reward system that is materially oriented…not relationally oriented like The Potty Song.

How The Potty Song system works…

Step 1: When you receive your copy of the song, let your child know that you'll be playing The Potty Song each time they use the potty properly. Then let them hear it.

Step 2: Give your child plenty of opportunity to use "the chair". Set a timer and have them try every sixty minutes or so.

Step 3: Each time your child actually goes on the chair, play/sing the song for them. Dance around, clap your hands, be crazy and celebrate! They’ll probably want to hear it again and again, but we recommend you play it only once each time they go. This allows the excitement to be sustained for next time.
